#4 He Remembers ~
Growing up, the farmer’s sheep often heard stories about his grandfather who once lived in Colorado Springs
Folks said that every year, when the nation’s birthday came around, his grandfather proudly pulled a grand wagon through the town’s Fourth of July parade.
He loved to hear those stories.
Now, with the nation’s 250th birthday drawing closer and the celebrations coming soon , he finds himself thinking about his grandfather with such pride.
He has no wagon to pull. But when the nation’s birthday arrives, he plans to wrap himself in the American flag, fasten the small bell around his neck, and walk the dusty road toward Colorado Springs… carrying his grandfather’s story with him, and hoping that somewhere beyond the mountains, the old parade sheep would know his grandson remembered — and was so proud.
